About Us

We realize you have a lot of choices in the Motorsports industry. Here at Midwest, we really try harder to serve our customers and earn your business. Besides great prices and large selection, the primary difference you will find here is our people - these people! From years of experience to helpful attitudes, this is the best crew in the business! Midwest Performance actually began in Richard Johnson's garage in the spring of 1980. He had just taken a factory job and could not leave the motorcycle passion alone. Having worked the 2 previous years for another dealer as technician and service manager, he was ready to try it alone. Originally named "Cycle Clinic", it was a part-time service-only business.

We opened full-time as a non-franchised sales and service operation in 1982 behind what is now Sonic restaurant in Keokuk. The front yard then was a sales lot for gravestones - we used to jokingly call ourselves "Tombstone Honda."

In 1983, we brought Honda on board, he quit his job at Union Electric, and we changed the name to Midwest Honda. We built our current facility new in 1984, added Yamaha in 1986, Sea Doo in 1988, and Can Am in 2007. We are constantly making numerous changes and updates to keep pace with the ever-changing market. This is an exciting business to be in and we understand we are here today due to our many loyal customers. We hope you enjoy doing business with Midwest!

Hey, my name is Danny Williams and I'm your local parts manager here at Midwest Performance and Power.I am 28 years old I have 25 years of riding experience. From sport bikes, motocross, arena cross, cross country and hare scrambles, and of course the pit bikes :) I have worked in and out of the shop since I was 15, starting at the old riding park and working my way into parts/sales. So for all of your parts and accessory needs give me a call @ 800-368-2604. I will be happy to assist you.

Jim Link, parts staff. I may not keep up with my co-workers on a bike, but they can't keep up with me on the golf course. So don't look for me at a Hair Scramble. On my off days you can find me at the links. But I can help you with your parts needs so don't hesitate to call when your bike or four wheeler is broken. """FOUR"""
